This was taken on the day that Mims arrived. Once they had spent a few minutes getting reacquainted, they seemed to explode with the joy of being together again and set off for a mad game of 'Run for Your Lives'.

When I first got Alli, she knew only two speeds - walk and a flat out gallop. It was what she had been trained to do as a racehorse. Fortunately she was quick to learn how to be ridden like a normal horse and, over the years, we have come to know and trust one another so much that I ride her without saddle or a bit on her bridle.

The first year that Wicky's coat began to refuse to shed for the summer it came as quite a shock that his Cushings Syndrome was getting the upper hand. The year after this was taken it refused to come off at all.

It is very rare to see wicky this clean, and a good job that Pete had his camera with him. Less than five min. later he had rolled in the mud.

As Pete is usually the one taking the photos we have very few with him in them. Unusual also, is the fact that Wicky has come to him for a cuddle, rather than to mug him for treats!

There is a saying about horses white feet

Four white feet, keep him not a day,
Three white feet, send him far away,
Two white feet, sell him to a friend,
One white foot, keep him to the end.

And Mims has ....... ?

Although Alli's natural preferance was to be somewhere in the middle of the group, since she has had to look after Tregony and keep Wicky in line she had to take the role of leader.
Mims challenged her for the top spot several times when she first came, but has now settled for second place in the pecking order. But Alli is a big softy and nearly always lets Mims go first.
